Awhile after we had finished the exercise we played a murder game, that did not involve real murder just pretending. the way the game worked is that we all had to put on a costume that was in the middle ages and then we got told a number and in the order of the number we all had to die until it came down to the last 2 and we had to guess. this game was really fun and it was hard to guess what each person was until they died. my character was and 8 year old peasant that was called camilla and she was very poor so she was working to earn money at a hotel. we were all very hyper so we had a power nap. a power nap is when you lay down and completely relax and then someone is saying relaxing thing.

Friday drama class
Its friday!!!! yey and today i just had 2 hours of drama. During this lesson we learned about the renaissance, and the time line. we did this exercise where we all had a picture of some old furniture and we had to pretend that we were that piece of furniture and tell the rest of the class about the furniture but without telling what it is. this exercise was supposed to help us get into the theme renaissance.

fun acting exersices
i thought that today i would share with you some fun acting exercises so her goes nothing..
1. HONEY I LOVE YOU- you stand in a circle with one person in the middle, the person in the middle has to go up to any person of their chose and say to them " honey i love you can you please give me a smile" and then that person has to keep a straight face and not smile and still answer back by saying " honey i love you too but i just cant smile.
2. i don't know what its actually called this exercise but i'm just gonna call it
STATUE IMPROVISATION - you start of with two people in a frozen position and then in whatever position they are in then they have to make up a act out of it and then randomly freeze and then someone else has to take up only one of the persons positions and improvise the act but using and entirely different situation though and so on.
3. HITCH HIKING- you have one person standing on the edge of the scene trying to get a ride and then a group of people have to pretend to drive by on the road and offer for them to jump in the car and they have to come into the car with a certain emotion, for example- i could come into the car really happy and then i have to somehow explain my emotion and why.
4. you have one person on the stage doing something and then someone has too come onto the stage and ask what they are doing and they reply but we have to accept what they are doing so we cant say " eewww" or " thats boring " we can only say " yeah cool" or " ok ". otherwise that would be blocking someones character.
these are the only ones i have so far but ill probably come back with more things!!! hope to see you guys soon. LOL

Drama Class!!!
Today i had drama class. This lesson we were focusing on practicing and making our mini skit of the three billy goats but a completely different version. We started of the lesson with some warm ups for example on of the children does a pose and then another one has to do a pose but act something out and so on. it was really fun. A while after we went into the hallway and rehearsed our skit. our skit was about an old abandoned town that was guarded by a policeman and an electric fence which then a little kid, a teenager, and an old man have to try to get past the fence and the police, and at the end the police man gets smacked my the old man and falls into the electric fence so he dies. I think this skit kind of helps us open up and be ourselves a bit more than usual or come out from under a blanket and become someone you really are by expressing yourself in your work!!!!!

a year ago i was in a play with professional actors an other kids. we were putting on the musical OLIVER TWIST , and i picked up a few things after watching the recorded video that will help you if you are new to theatre or performing on stage:
- never have your back against the audience , EVER.
- dont look at the floor unless its part of your role.
- always be clear of what you are doing so people don't get confused or bored.
- always express yourself in your character.
